FAQs
Is it really free?
Yes. The bill check is free with no obligation. If you later buy energy through us, we're usually paid a commission by the supplier, which we'll tell you about upfront. Consultancy work is quoted separately.
Do I have to switch supplier?
No. Often we can fix billing errors and reliefs with your current supplier. If a different contract would save you money, we'll explain why and you decide.
Can you guarantee you'll find a saving?
No. Many bills are correct, and we'll tell you if yours are. Where we do find something, we'll show you the evidence and confirm it against the relevant rules before asking the supplier to put it right.
What happens to the bills I upload?
We use them only to review your bills and get back to you. They're sent over an encrypted connection and only seen by our team. Our privacy notice explains how long we keep them and your rights.
What if I don't have a PDF bill?
A clear photo works too. Make sure the supplier name, billing period, rates and charges are readable.
Do you work with households?
Yes. Our bill check is mainly for businesses, but homeowners can use us for EPCs, retrofit assessments, air source heat pumps and solar. Choose "My home" on the form.
What bills can I upload?
Electricity and gas bills as PDFs or clear photos. The latest bill for each supply is ideal, and your contract or renewal letter helps if you have it.
How long does the check take?
We usually get back to you within two working days. Multi-site businesses may take a little longer.
Can you reclaim money I've already overpaid?
Often, yes. Overpaid VAT and Climate Change Levy, for example, can usually be reclaimed for up to four years. We'll tell you what applies to you.
What else can you help with?
Energy management and sub-metering, energy buying and renewals, non-domestic EPCs, SECR and ESOS reporting, solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and power purchase agreements.
