Carbon reporting you can stand behind

Many businesses now have to report energy use and emissions, and customers, lenders and tenders increasingly ask for it too. We turn your bills and meter data into accurate reports and a practical plan.

  • SECR for annual reports
  • Scope 1, 2 and 3 footprints
  • Breakdowns by fuel, site and contract
  • Net zero roadmaps

SECR in brief

Quoted companies and large unquoted companies and LLPs must report UK energy use, emissions, an intensity ratio and the efficiency actions they've taken in their annual report. Location-based reporting is required; market-based is optional and reflects renewable-backed supply.

What's included

  • Data collected from bills, meters and half-hourly feeds
  • Emissions calculated with the latest UK Government conversion factors
  • Consumption and CO2e broken down by fuel, site and contract type
  • Draft SECR wording for your directors' report
  • Reduction plans covering efficiency, solar, heat pumps and renewable supply

FAQs

What's the difference between location-based and market-based?

Location-based uses the grid average for all electricity. Market-based reflects what you buy, so REGO-backed renewable supply can count as zero. SECR requires location-based and allows market-based alongside it.

Which emissions are Scope 1, 2 and 3?

Gas and other fuels you burn are Scope 1. Purchased electricity is Scope 2. Transmission losses, travel and your supply chain are Scope 3.

Do the conversion factors change?

Yes, the UK Government updates them every June. The grid electricity factor has fallen sharply as the grid decarbonises, which affects year-on-year comparisons.
